The following policies apply to both the Nehemiah Brainerd House and the Laurel Cottage guest house:

To Reserve Your Stay: A one-day full deposit is required in advance. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover are accepted.  Personal checks are accepted two weeks prior to arrival.  Travelers Checks and Cash are also accepted.

Cancellations:  We are a small inn and count on every reservation.  Should you need to cancel, however, we will return your deposit minus a $25.00 service charge if you cancel a minimum of seven days prior to your expected arrival date.  Unfortunately, a one-night charge will apply to any cancellations made within seven days of your expected arrival.  

Full Payment is expected upon check-in.

A two-night minimum stay may be required in the main house on Holiday Weekends.

Rates are subject to Connecticut state hotel tax.

Check in is between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m.  Late or early arrivals will be accommodated with prior notice.  

Check out is at 11:00 a.m.  Guests are required to vacate their room by 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure to avoid incurring an additional charge.

We are a NON SMOKING facility.  Guests found smoking inside The Nehemiah Brainerd House or the Laurel Cottage will be charged a $250.00 fee for cleaning and loss of use of the room.

We are not able to accommodate children under 13.

Pets are not permitted.
